Motorcycle travel information
This is the obvious place to go on the web for adventure motorcycling information.
I bought their DVD series “Achievable Dream” as part of my preparations for this trip and it contains a wealth of useful first hand information from various bikers. But first and foremost it is a great confidence builder that made me feel a lot more at ease when taking off.

Motorcycle Tyres, Algeciras, Spain
This is a small but excellent workshop in Algeciras, Spain that specializes in motorcycle tyres. It is perfectly located at the Gibraltar strait in order to change tyres before entering Africa. Prices are good, service great, it is easy to find and they can order pretty much any type of tyre within 24 hours. They even store your road tyres until you return and want them put back on your bike for the ride home.

Professional instructions in the art of djembe playing.
Cap Skirring, Senegal

If you want to learn how to play the typical African drum, the djembe, or just getting a few hours of introduction, this is an excellent place to do so. Cap Skirring in Senegal is relaxed, affordable and extremely friendly, as made for spending some time on the beautiful beach. And why not indulge in a bit of drumming?

On the beach between the Club Med and the popular Campment Le Paradise, ask specifically for "As". Most people will know him. He's the best instructor you can think of. Very efficient and rewarding instructions that will get you playing sooner than you think. Just too good an opportunity to slip anyone by.

Tanya & Michael, an Australian couple exploring the world on two Suzuki 650 DR's.

Outside the world of sports this is as hard core as it gets. These guys don't back down for anything. No challenge is too intimidating, no terrain too rough. Follow them on their blogg or on Facebook. It is a highly enjoyable read accompanied with great photos.
